Anne Hathaway was decked out in the appropriate color hue while hosting the 2013 Pink Party benefiting The Women’s Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai on Sunday in Santa Monica.
Last night was a celebration of women, fashion, friendship and life that has raised over $9 million over the past nine years, according to philanthropist and designer Elyse Walker.
The award-winning actress of ‘Le Miserable’ fame rocked a short pink J. Mendel dress that showed off her long legs to perfection.
Other attendees included Brooke Burke-Charvet, Brenda Song and the mother-daughter duo – Kate Beckinsale and Lily Mo Sheen, 14.
Hathaway was reduced to tears while introducing Dr. Beth Y Karlan, MD. She told the 800 assembled guests, “She helped a beloved friend of mine battle cancer recently. You were more than my friend’s doctor. You were a friend and ally, and I’m happy to say that together you kicked that cancer’s ass.”
A fashion show and live auction kept the crowd properly engaged throughout the high-profile event. Attendees were vying for two tickets to New York Fashion Week 2014, a 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and a rental of an eight-bedroom home in Cabo San Lucas. A silent auction featured designer handbags and jewelry from the collections of Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Celine and Givenchy.
