Orlando Bloom and his supermodel wife Miranda Kerr have split after three years of marriage.

Their rep confirmed the separation, “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.”

It ended with the requisite spin, “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as a family.”

The English actor met his future wife in April of 2008 at Sydney’s Doncaster Day at the Radwick Racecourse. They quietly wed in July 2010 and the Aussie model gave birth to their son Flynn in January 2011.

Kerr learned earlier this year that her three year contract as a Victoria’s Secret Angel would not be renewed. Sources indicate she has a “difficult reputation.” She remains active with her Kora Organics skincare beauty line and continues her role as spokesmodel for Spanish brand Mango’s advertising campaign.

Their last public appearance was at his Sept. 19 Broadway debut in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway, also starring Condola Rashad.

Bloom has reportedly listed his Hollywood Hills home for $4.5 million. He had been renting it out for $16,500 a month while he and his family were living in NYC.
