Chris Brown appeared in a Washington D.C. courtroom Monday afternoon and was charged with misdemeanor assault before being released.
The R&B artist got into a fight early Sunday morning outside of the W Hotel and was arrested. He and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy cooled their heels in jail for 36 hours on an initial charge of felony assault. The judge reduced the charge and allowed both men to leave the jail without setting bail.
Attorney Danny Onorato said, “Christopher Brown committed no crime. We understand that his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, as he is authorized to do under D.C. law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.”
The victim was Isaac Adams Parker, 20, of Beltsville, Maryland. He allegedly tried to photo bomb Brown and a female fan. The singer said, “I’m not down with that gay s–t and I feel like boxing.”
Brown then punched him in the face with his fist and the bodyguard stepped between them and also punched Parker in the face. The assault victim was treated at an area hospital and released.
CB is still on probation for viciously beating Rihanna in 2009. His sentence for that incident was community service and a year long domestic violence course. A few refresher sessions may be in order…
