George Clooney had an interesting response when asked by W magazine about the love of his life.

The Academy Award-winning actor stated emphatically, “I haven’t met her yet.”

It turns out the Hollywood A-lister fell hard, at a very early age, for film legends Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly.

He admits, “When I was a kid, I was in love with Audrey Hepburn. I watched ‘Roman Holiday’ when I was 11, and I thought she was as elegant as anything I’d ever seen. And I fell madly in love with her. I also always loved Grace Kelly. I mean, when she comes out of the water in ‘To Catch a Thief, I thought, ‘That’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.'”

Clooney appears on the December-January cover of W‘s annual art issue, hitting newsstands Dec. 9 nationwide – full article here.

He has twice been named ‘Sexiest Man Alive and has appeared three times on Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

The media continues to scrutinize his sexuality despite his reputation as a ladies man. In an interview with The Advocate he said, “The last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ‘These are lies!’ That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing.”

George was married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989-1993 and said after they divorced that he would never marry again. His list of former girlfriends included Kelly Preston, Renee Zellweger, Elisabetta Canalis and Stacy Keibler.
