Simon Cowell is a proud papa. The 54-year-old first time father has posted pics of his newborn son, Eric Lauren Cowell, on Twitter.
“Now you can see how very handsome little Eric is,” Cowell tweeted alongside a photo of baby Eric.
“I never knew how much love and pride I would feel,” he said with a pic of himself cradling the newborn in his arms.
Cowell’s girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, went into labor early Friday morning in New York while Simon was filming auditions for Britain’s Got Talent. He had a chartered plane standing by and flew to be by her side.
Baby Eric was born on Valentine’s day weighing 6 lbs 7oz. He was named after Cowell’s father.
According to a source, Cowell plans to spend the next few weeks with Lauren and Eric at his Upper East Side apartment.
“They are really happy to all be together and get Eric home and introduce him to Squiddly and Diddly,” Cowell’s two Yorkies.
