Nine months after being fired from CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” for publicly ridiculing the show, Angus T. Jones is filling his time by preaching in churches across the country.
Said the 20-year-old Seventh Day Adventist of his former show topics, “That was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people,” adding “I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it.”
Well, if being a hypocrite pays $350,000 per 30 minute episode…sign me up.
Jones is sticking by his words in the 2012 You Tube video that went viral, causing the termination of his contract. In the video, he called the show “filth” and urged his fans to stop watching it. However, he now says that he regrets that by insulting the show, he was insulting creator Chuck Lorre’s “baby”.
Jones has not given up acting completely, saying he’d consider a project with Bible based stories.
