DJ Tanner has grown up, but she’s got nothing to prove. Candace Cameron Bure says she will be wearing modest costumes while competing on Dancing With the Stars, in lieu of the skimpy outfits favored by most contestants, in order to “be a good role model”.

“The two most important things in my life are my faith and my family and I know that is what is going to get me through this competition,” Bure told partner Mark Ballas. “I’m not gonna be your sexy girl, I’m a mom of three kids so I want to look good and feel beautiful, but I will probably stay on the more modest end of costuming.”

I have to say, I wish more women had this attitude. Just because you’ve got it, doesn’t mean you’ve got to flaunt it.

Bure and Ballas are off to a great start this season, placing second in the first episode with a score of 25.

What do you think of Bure’s attitude in regards to costuming — prudish, or something to be proud of?
