We can all get a little more sleep tonight, now that P. Diddy has admitted he’s not on the level of Denzel Washington or Sidney Poitier (we’re Mr. Combs would’ve named more people he’ll never measure up to, but those are the only two black best actor Oscar winners and, you know, he’s got to represent).
Combs’ run in Broadway’s A Raisin in the Sun – alongside newly minted crackwhore Phylicia Rishad – ended Sunday night. The main criticism of his performance: his inability to portray an enraged black man with a shitty job. We know he’s a hard working businessman, but it must be hard to relate to the little man while you’re busy shopping for a new umbrella holder.
