Jossip was busy all day today, attending another one of those graduation ceremonies we’ve come to expect nearly every week during the month of May. But fret not, loyal readers, as our boredom – and thus, ignoring this space – yielded at least one exciting moment.
As we sipped lovingly on our caffe americano in Starbucks, who walked in but .. Barbara Bush, the president’s daughter who’s fresh from graduation herself – and even though he said he wouldn’t. Georgie did attend Sunday’s festivities, but skipped out on today’s.
We only managed to get our camera (a real digital one, not one of those silly peeping-tom camera phones) out after she had left and was walking past Starbs, but for your enjoyment:
But aside from all that, we’re excited as the rest of you to see two new and promising blogs premiere this week: Chicagoist, from the lovely folks at Gothamist, and Curbed, a creation put forth by Lockhart Steele, who closed down his Below 14th Street section to create time for the new New York City real estate blog – which is just fine with us, because B14 overstayed its welcome longer than Fraiser.
