Earlier this week, we reported on the news that Ryan Edwards had returned home following a second stint in rehab.
There were some conflicting reports regarding Ryan’s start and end dates, and it was widely rumored that he had once again left treatment early.
Now, however, Ryan’s long-suffering wife, Mackenzie Standifer, has come forward to clear the air.
In a series of new social media posts, she makes some interesting claims about Ryan — and she also invites Teen Mom OG fans to kindly butt out of her life.

After laying low during most of Ryan’s stint in treatment, Mackenzie is now back in a big way.
All Over the Place
Not only did Mackenzie make an unexpected return to Teen Mom OG, she’s also been posting to social media again.
An Eventful Few Weeks
Mackenzie welcomed her second child, a boy name Jagger, just last month, and earlier this week, Ryan returned home from rehab.
Clearing the Air
Needless to say, Mackenzie has a lot to talk about these days, and she’s doing exactly that.

But she’s also asking Teen Mom OG fans to do a favor and stay the hell out of her business.

Mackenzie took to her Instagram Stories this week to debunk what she says are vicious rumors about her husband and her marriage.

“So, instead of responding individually, I’m just going to do a collaborative thing here,” Mackenzie continues.

“We’re fine,†she says. “It’s not as exciting as it sounds, but we’re good.â€Â
Long Days
In a second clip, Mackenzie addresses a recent Instagram comment in which she described Ryan’s time in treatment as “the longest 90 days of my f–king life.”
Sticking to Her Guns
“Yes, they were the longest 90 days of my life,” Standifer confirms.
Addressing the Rumors
“No, he did not leave [rehab] early and no, I am not getting a divorce! Damn,†Standifer adds.
Emotional Dishonesty
We get that Mackenzie is tired of the rumors, but her shock that fans are curious about what’s going on with Ryan seems a bit disingenuous.
Fine? Really?
And we understand that she wants to convey a sense of normalcy and stability, but the fact remains that her husband just got out of rehab after being arrested three times in 18 months.
To Be Clear
We wish Ryan all the best in his recovery and we hope he and Mackenzie are happy for many years to come.

But after all this time in the spotlight, we find it hard to believe that Mackenzie is confused by the curiosity among fans.

“A lot of the response has been ‘Why don’t you just ignore it and move on?’” Mackenzie said on Instagram

“That’s all fine and dandy but if your life was out there and you were going through difficult things, you’d want the truth,” Standifer continued.

From there, Mackenzie shared a meme, reading in part, “You can rise up from anything. You can completely recreate yourself. Nothing is permanent.”

“All that matters is that you decide today and never look back,” the meme continued.
Come Again?
The “nothing is permanent” and “decide today and never look back” parts might sound a bit contradictory — and they are — but they also encapsulate Standifer’s attitude toward her relationship.
Double-Speak
She’s always sat comfortably with these two conflicting ideas: that our commitments are permanent and our paths pre-determined, and that all is random and temporary and no one should have to answer for their actions.
What It Takes
Of course, being with Ryan might necessitate being a bit inconsistent with one’s worldview.

“I have stuck by my husband through some of the darkest times imaginable,†Mackenzie wrote on Instagram while Ryan was in treatment.
