For the record, Sofia Richie has NOT quit Instagram.
Quite the opposite, in fact.
On Monday night, Justin Bieber took fans by disappointed surprise when he went ahead and deleted his social media account.
The singer did so after expressing displeasure with a group of fans who had been giving Richie a hard time.
The model, only 17 years old, has been spending nearly every waking second with Bieber of late, highlighted by their trip to Tokyo together last week.
Both Richie and Bieber filled up their Instagram feeds at the time with romantic selfies.
They hung out in the streets, in the backseat of a car and, yes, in a hotel room.
One picture of the two even featured Bieber in only his underwear.
We’re sorry to have to be the ones to break this to you, Beliebers.
As you might expecti it didn’t take long for trolls to come down hard on Richie, prompting Bieber to issue a warning.
“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand,” Bieber captioned a photo of himself with his new (young!) squeeze, adding:
“If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
This message prompted an ugly back-and-forth between Bieber and Selena Gomez in which the latter told the former to keep his private life private.
And also in which both sides accused the other of cheating.
Bieber responded to this flap by saying goodbye to Instagram, at least for the time being.
But Richie is still posting often on the social media service, for those anxious to find out more about the teenage model.
For instance, Richie shared the following image yesterday, writing as a caption that she "ran into these ones today."
One of these ones is Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star E.J. Johnson.
Richie also shared a throwback family photo of her famous father, brother Miles and mother Diana.

Not a lot is known about Sofia Richie, except that she is signed to Select Model Management.
She has also appeared in ES magazine and was named the face of Madonna’s Material Girl clothing line. Not shabby, right?
Moreover, she is friends with Bella Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio and Joan Smalls. And with Justin Bieber, of course.
Although, really, she’s more friends with benefits when it comes to Justin Bieber. If you know what we mean!!!!!
