Earlier this week, Katey Sagal became the latest celebrity to be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
But while the veteran actress is in the middle of shooting Sons of Anarchy Season 7, talk at the event was centered on her former Fox sitcom, seeing as she reunited there with Married… with Children colleagues Christina Applegate, David Faustino and Ed O’Neill.
Now, E! News has confirmed the following stunning news regarding this long-ago hit: it may make a return! Spinoff style!
Sony Pictures Television is actually taking out a pitch for a new series based on Faustino’s Bud Bundy, sources confirm, though negotiations are in the very early stages.
No network is lined up and it’s unclear which former cast members would be involved or who would write the pilot.
But Applegate also mentioned this possibility to E! on Sagal’s big day.
“We’re going to do something with Dave maybe. I don’t know if it will be in character,” Applegate teased. “But I don’t really know. I don’t know what that’s going to be. I don’t know if I’m allowed to speak on that at all. So I should probably stop talking about it right now!”
