Miley Cyrus would like to make a couple things clear:
- She is not trying to brainwash anyone.
- She is not part of any secret religious sect.
The singer made these points in an interview with BBC radio, defending her controversial "We Can’t Stop" music video.
"There’s conspiracy theories behind my video," she said. "And it’s not quite as deep as some people try to make it seem. A lot of people think I’m in the Illuminati somehow through this video.
"It’s not really that trippy to make you think this is some subliminal message or it’s brainwashing you."
As she’s said in the past, Cyrus reiterated that the video is "based on true events" because folks in Los Angeles party at home instead of at clubs.
So they make money sandwiches? And Twerk with huge teddy bears?
"Yeah, that happens," Cyrus said.
