Here she goes again.

On Sunday, Meri Brown took to her official Instagram page in order to do what she does best and also most often on social media:

Aim to inspire… while also cause followers to raise a few eyebrows and ask a few questions.

About her marital status, that is.

“Sometimes life throws little curveballs. Sometimes those curveballs aren’t too shabby,” wrote the veteran Sister Wives star as a caption to her latest photo.

The photo is a lovely shot of the world famous Grand Canyon in Arizona, an attraction Brown appears to have checked out over the weekend on her own.

Why is this significant?

It shouldn’t be, really, considering no one familiar with Meri’s story over the past several months could possibly expect Kody Brown to accompany her on a trip to the supermarket, let alone a mini vacation.

And yet: it still feels noteworthy when Meri calls attention to her mostly single status, you know?

Yes, she remains spiritually married to Kody — but the two don’t sleep together and rarely even talk.

Don’t just take our word for that, either.

“My relationship with Meri is not the type of relationship where I’m going to talk to her every day,” Kody admitted earlier this year on the Sister Wives Season 16 tell-all special.

Meri Brown is Angry
Meri Brown looks very displeased in this photo. Probably because she’s married to Kody.

Meri responded to this assessment by confessing that Kody makes her sad, and that she still harbors romantic hope for some reason.

“Kody has said some things to me more recently that leads me to believe that there’s no repairing our relationship,” she added on this same special.

“There are days when I get very, very discouraged.”

And then there are other days where she clearly wants to come across as confident and strong.

“Embrace the change. Embrace the adventure,” she added on Sunday.

“This just makes me resolve to actually come spend a whole day out here taking in all the majesty.”

Previously, Meri emphasized to fans that she doesn’t need a man to make her happy.

“Who takes care of you?” asked Meri to open a lengthy Instagram message on May 31, continuing as follows:

“This is a question I’m asked often, and through the years I’ve had different responses, and wanted different answers.

“And, it’s a question that always makes me think.

“In the moments where I’ve felt less confident, I’ve wanted someone else to swoop in and be my hero, and come in to take care of me.

“In the moments where my inner strength is shining through, oh, you know I got this!”

Meri Brown is Happy

Meri never cites Kody by name in these posts.

But any regular celebrity gossip reader knows the context in which she writes them.

“We are each responsible for our own selves. For our own inner peace,” wrote Brown late last month.

“For how we act and react when things go our way or don’t, when someone says something kind or not. We are responsible for our own successes.”

Meri Brown in Cancun
Meri Brown took a trip to Cancun in late summer 2021. She needed a break, she explained.

Concluded the TLC personality back then:

“If your path and energy aligns with mine, great! If you are rising and want to rise with me, even better!

“I am attracting who wants to be on my life path with me. I am welcoming friends and cheerleaders and mentors and all the amazing people who vibe with me and want to do life with me.

“I am learning and growing, I am going through challenges and coming out the other side strong and with eyes open to my truth.

“I am my own support team and cheerleader. I am my own hero.”
