We didn't think it could be done, but after years of delays, extensions and excuses, it looks as though Lindsay Lohan will finally finish her community service stemming from a 2012 car accident, after which she allegedly lied to police.
Lindsay was caught lying about her community service on a number of occasions and the court granted her several generous extensions, but earlier this month, the judge in her case declared that she would receive no further leeway and must complete her hours by May 28 or face several months in prison.
Many thought it couldn't be done, as in order to carry out her sentence, Lohan would have to put in long hours at a Brooklyn daycare center (8 hours a day for 16 straight days, to be exact).
Considering Lindsay became famous before she was in her teens and has thus never put in a day of work that didn't begin with other people applying her makeup, 16 straight days of screaming toddlers seemed like an impossibly tall order.
Amazingly, however, TMZ is reporting that LiLo will cross the finish line with just hours to spare some time today.
Linds has a hearing in which she's scheduled to report her progress to the judge tomorrow morning.
In a final act of ballsiness, Lohan will reportedly hightail it back to London and have her lawyer, Shawn Holley, deliver the news.
Is she just eager to get back to partying in her adopted home country, or is she still worried about being tossed behind bars?
Knowing Linds, it's probably a little bit of both.
