Drake has a new album out, we and the rest of the world have just learned after the rapper pulled a Beyonce, dropping it before midnight EST on an unsuspecting Internet.
Its title: If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
It's not too late to listen to it, but you would've had to be up pretty late Thursday night to notice that the 17-track project had been released on iTunes.
The 28-year-old star linked to his latest musical collection, featuring collaborations with artists like Lil Wayne, Travi$ Scott and PartyNextDoor, on Twitter.
Just yesterday, Drake made headlines with an appearance in the 15-minute art film Jungle, in which he walked around Toronto to the tune of new music.
That tipped off fans that perhaps he had new stuff coming out, but the surprise album was still very much that, taking a page out of Beyonce's playbook.
If You're Reading This It's Too Late comes almost six years to the day after Drake released his last mixtape, So Far Gone, which helped put him on the map.
Last summer, he announced that his his next album would be titled Views From the 6 ... and possibly that Rihanna is the Devil. Just kidding. Maybe.
It's not clear if If You're Reading This It's Too Late is Views From the 6 renamed, or a mixtape album to hold us over until Views From the 6 drops.
Either way, expect big downloads this morning and many attempts to read more into his lyrics than he probably intended with regard to his personal life.
