Vanderpump Rules has become a bona fide smash for Bravo.
But that doesn't mean all cast members are happy about it.
Multiple insiders have confirmed to TMZ that the resident HBIC, Lisa Vanderpump, is raking it in as the anchor on this popular reality series.
But her co-stars only made $5,000 apiece for the ENTIRE first season.
In response, they banded together and demanded a raise from the network, along with perks such as flying first class anywhere they went in affiliation with the show.
Bravo reportedly didn’t give in to the latter request, but did up the salary for Tom Sandoval and company to $5,000 PER EPISODE for Vanderpump Rules Season 3.
That is still pocket change, of course, to cast members on other Bravo hits, such as The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which exceed a half million a year.
Of course, those who watch Vanderpump Rules online are aware that Lisa’s colleagues are actually her underlings; most work as bartenders and waiters at her restaurants in Los Angeles.
Therefore, Bravo may believe one of two things:
- Why pay them a lot when they are expendable?
- Why pay them a lot when part of their appeal to viewers is their working class charm?
Either way, Lisa Vanderpump is laughing all the way to the bank and then back again, while Jax is still going to act like a douche and pick fights every week.
