Sunday on The Mentalist Season 7 Episode 3, Jane and Lisbon are off to Beirut after the CIA finds Erika Flynn there. Were they able to offer her a deal? And for what?
The agency tells her that if she them figure out how her terrorist beau communicates with others, she’ll get immunity. Erika says yes, but needs Jane’s help.
In turn, Jane flies to Lebanon and interviews (so to speak) to be the terrorists’ new message courier. They almost drown him as a result of this process.
After passing the test, and not a minute too soon, Jane must memorize a random string of 81 numbers and verbally repeat them to someone in Atlanta.
No paper trail there, and we know he’s up to the task.
If you watch The Mentalist online, you know this is par for the course for Jane, and after the meeting, Cho puts together a team to try and take down the ring.
But, when the operation goes wrong and their contact is killed, Cho learns that Vega lied and informs her that if they can’t trust each other, they can’t work together.
The terrorist is arrested in Beirut, after which Erika tries to play Jane. How does she do that? By telling him that he and Lisbon won’t make it as a couple.
Of course, Jane and Lisbon foil her plan to escape.
After she’s apprehended, Lisbon asks Jane about Erika, and he admits they have kissed before. As for Loralei, he says he’ll discuss her on one condition:
She reveals everything about Walter Mashburn.
They call it a draw and leave well enough alone as Jane surprises Lisbon with "Orange Blossom Ice Cream," the title of The Mentalist Season 7 Episode 3.
