On Survivor Season 29 Episode 12, one of the season’s big moves to date took place at the Tribal Council, leaving this fall’s outcome hanging in the balance.
As Survivor Season 29 Episode 12 began, it looked like Jon – with his bold moves, idols, challenge wins, key votes and changing alliances – was the man to beat.
He was outdone, though, by someone playing the game two steps ahead.
Natalie’s decision to keep Keith was risky but paid off, while Jon’s position as the perceived leader of his alliance gave him a false security about his position.
It’s like it never occurred to Jon that his alliance also has free will, or that they watch Survivor online and could be out for … well, you know, a victory.
In order to get to a better position themselves, maybe they should just turn on the top dog. It wasn’t that crazy an idea, and he should have seen it coming.
As such, he is on his way home, with an idol in his pocket to boot!
After voting Alec out, Natalie tried to get Keith on board to vote with herself and Baylor, who convinces Missy to jump ship and vote against Jon as well.
Missy changed her mind at the last second, having been opposed to this plan vocally at the onset, and the whole thing was done without tipping off Jon.
Baylor gets all the credit for getting Missy on board, but Natalie’s voting strategy made for an epic blindside at Tribal. The guy never played his own idol!
So many things could have gone wrong, but none did.
The only question now is who can top Natalie. If she plays like this, is there a chance that anyone else will walk away the winner? We would not bet on it.
