Kraft macaroni and cheese, Vanilla Ice and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze. If that’s not a recipe for a great TV ad, we don’t know what is.

If it wasn’t obvious, all three of those things have joined forces for a commercial promoting Kraft’s new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mac and cheese shapes.

The spot finds the rapper stocking shelves (probably not too big a stretch these days) and reviving his "Ninja Rap" from the 1991 sequel to TMNT.

The song, from the ever-so-brief peak of Ice’s popularity, features the the familiar refrain, "Go Ninja Go!" and memorably showcased him in a cameo.

Back to the ad, it’s as random and awkward as it sounds, but it owns that fact.

 

Then one shopping mom starts dropping verbal bombs in lockstep with Robert Van Winkle, and the apocalypse becomes one step closer to reality.

Her kid’s face says it all … but damned it if it doesn’t make you wanna chow down on Kraft mac and cheese tonight! You can feed the whole family for like $2!

So good, and good for you.
