Miranda Lambert‘s “shocking” weight loss makes the cover of Us Weekly this week, and for once, it really is shocking. She looks like a shadow of Miranda!

The celebrity gossip tabloid claims that she dropped 25 pounds in three months leading up to the 2013 CMA Awards. Based on that photo? It’s very possible.

As for the reason for her pound-shedding? Other sources have claimed it’s all so Blake won’t cheat, but that’s more likely to amuse her husband than anything.

Regarding how the singer did it, Us says it was achieved without “giving up cocktails with [Blake Shelton].” Phew. We can all drink to that, are we right THGers?

Portion control and simple workouts. That’s all it took, supposedly.

We imagine that this is an exaggeration on the magazine’s part, and that she actually worked out like a maniac and cut down on the boozing quite a fit. 

Otherwise, 25 pounds is a LOT to lose in that length of time.
