Former Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss was caught with 392 marijuana plants in her home in Pahrump, Nevada, this month, and faces criminal charges.
The 47-year-old was not arrested, however, due to the fact that she has approximately $200,000 worth of exotic birds in the residence ... seriously.
Also, "she gave us consent to search without a warrant and was very cooperative throughout the investigation," police said, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
Oddly enough, cops weren't at Fleiss' house to look for pot, but were searching for another woman wanted on arrest warrants and her door was open.
Nevertheless, police officers uncovered nearly 400 marijuana plants, two growing lights and several bottles of chemicals used to grow marijuana.
Fleiss told the cops that she planned to destroy the smaller plants in the guesthouse because she felt she was growing too many plants, police said.
Heidi faces one count of marijuana with intent to sell, a felony, and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, which does not sound very good.
She also was charged with possession of marijuana over one ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a residence where drugs are sold.
Maybe Dr. Sunjay Gupta can come to her defense ...
