According to a new set of rumors, Nicki Minaj has responded to DJ Khaled’s proposal from last week…
… but not in the way this musician was hoping.
In front of MTV News cameras last week, Khaled told Minaj that he loves her and is going to be honest and wants her to be his and concluded:
“Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?”
The artist is yet to respond publicly to the unexpected question – and $500,000 engagement ring – but sources tell Atlanta Black Star that Minaj filed for a restraining order against Khaled.
Such chatter has not been confirmed.
Minaj and Khaled share the same label (YMCMB) and this report alleges that the DJ has showered Nicki Minaj with gifts in the past, while also showing up at her concerts around the country.
However, other insiders claim this is all a major publicity stunt, noting three words Khaled used in his proposal. He told the singer they were both “suffering from success.”
And that just happens to be the name of Khaled’s upcoming album!
So we think this mystery is pretty much solved. Don’t carve out any days on your schedule for a Minaj/Khaled wedding and don’t worry about anyone getting restrained.
DJ Khaled has simply gone all Kris Jenner in his efforts to promote his work.
