Lil Wayne has released the music video for "God Bless Amerika," and there’s no sign of him trampling the U.S. flag, which he was infamously seen doing on set.

Wayne said he didn’t step on the flag on purpose (sounds like BS) and had no excuse for the fact that the flag being on the ground is kind of a no-no anyway.

It appears he got the message, though, because during the flag dropping scene, the video is edited in a way that never shows Old Glory on the ground:

The rapper took major heat last month when photos of him stepping all over the flag while filming "God Bless Amerika" surfaced on the Internets.

He gave a half-assed excuse (not unlike during the Emmett Till controversy), but in this case, apparently decided to nip this drama in the bud.

Flag or no flag, what do you think of his new video?
