Is Rihanna immersed in a 12-step therapy program to get over Chris Brown?
So claims Grazia magazine in one of our favorite rumors in quite some time.
Even after he beat her senseless in 2009, the couple remained close, and he even dumped girlfriend Karrueche Tran to get back with her last summer.
The rekindled romance with Chris Brown fizzled, however, and Karrueche is back in the picture, reportedly leaving Rihanna despondent and confused.
Thus the rumor that the pop star has begun - or will soon begin - a 12-step program to help get over "the love of her life" and his impact on her life.
"Rihanna is desperately in love with Chris. It's like she's obsessed with him and, although he's told her it's over, she just can't get over him," a source says.
"After talking it through at length with a psychotherapist," the insider adds, "Rihanna's now doing a 12-step program to get rid of her demons."
What does that entail in this case, exactly? The alleged program is said to have "a format similar" to that used for alcohol and drug rehabilitation.
Chris Brown's love is her drug, people. And a seductive, powerful one at that. So potent it might even make you lash out and hit a fan with a microphone.
Anyway, the Ranch's Women's Love and Sex Addiction Treatment Program, in Tennessee, is said to help women who have issues along these lines.
Might Rihanna benefit from this, given her history of "attracting troubled, addicted, abusive or otherwise emotionally unavailable partners?"
Rumor or not, it does make you wonder. The facility, interestingly, offers "a number of treatments including counseling and equine therapy."
For a different kind of equine therapy, allow us to recommend watching Kate Upton topless on a horse. That will put anyone in a good mood.
