Casting on the Fantastic Four reboot is underway, and the studio already has its eye on a few actors.
Allison Williams, who plays Marnie on Girls, is being looked at to play Invisible Woman, and now Michael B. Jordan is in the running for Human Torch.
The character was white in the comics, and was played by Chris Evans in the 2005 and 2007 films.
Should Jordan be cast, Human Torch would be added to the list of new black comic book characters whose race is not a central role in their character or persona.
While this often enrages some super-nerd fans, ultimately, a degree of colorblind casting is a very good thing.
Jordan, known best for his role on the show Friday Night Lights and in the film Chronicle, is an up-and-comer who may be a household name soon (though, take out the 'B." and he's already a household name).
Fantastic Four has a release date set for March 6, 2015.
