Another day, another major name announced for the cast of Divergent.
With Ashley Judd on board the big screen adaption of this beloved bestseller, Entertainment Weekly now confirms that the actor will also play a key role in the upcoming blockbuster:
He will portray Andrew Prior, father to heroine Shailene Woodley’s Beatrice Prior and husband to Judd’s Natalie.
Goldwyn starred in Ghost and is currently best known for portraying the President of the United States on ABC’s Scandal.
Along with Judd and Goldwyn, Kate Winslet, Jai Courtney, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, and Ansel Elgort will appear in the film.
It kicked off production this week and will be released on March 21, 2014.
