Lionsgate has released the first full length trailer for The Hunger Games, which hits theaters on March 23 and which is based on a best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins.
In the first half of the following preview, we watch as Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) hunt in the woods and dream of making an escape… only for reality to set in as Elizabeth Banks shows up as Effie and selects the name Primrose Everdeen to fight in the annual battle of teenager versus teenager.
From there, we’re treated to shots of Donald Sutherland as President Snow, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and a whole lot more. Let the countdown begin, fans, and may the odds be ever in your favor…
