In long overdue news, the doctor who helped Nadya Suleman get pregnant with octuplets is being accused of negligence by the Medical Board of California.
Dr. Michael Kamrava acted beyond the reasonable judgment of a treating physician by repeatedly providing fertility treatments to a patient named “N.S.”
The board is demanding the “revoking or suspending” of Kamrava’s Physician and Surgeon’s license. No hearing has been set, but it won’t be a hard sell.
Kamrava has already been dismissed from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in the wake of Octomom getting pregnant with babies 7-14.
That’s right, she had six to start with. No wonder the Medical Board of California says the doctor “was placing her offspring at risk for potential harm.”
The doc cost La Habra, Calif., taxpayers a lot of money!
Officials say Michael Kamrava must be disciplined because he acted with “gross negligence” with regard to the treatment of this gigantic drain on society:
His failure to recognize that [Suleman’s] behavior was outside the norm, they said. Hmm, ya think?! Revocation or suspension may not even be enough.
Specifically, Kamrava is accused of negligence in three instances:
- Transferring too many embryos
- Repeatedly transferring fresh embryos when frozen ones were available
- Failing to refer Nadya Suleman for a mental health evaluation.
He is also accused of giving Suleman too much of a hormone while stimulating in vitro fertilization, and poor record keeping. Gotta get a secretary, man.
