Dr. Conrad Murray has inked a deal with a British documentary crew to sell footage of himself on the job. That’s as incredible as the stuff in Michael Jackson’s FBI file.
But it’s true. The doctor who’s being investigated in the death of Jackson will star in an international TV special. Only in Hollywood … or in some alternate universe.
Footage of MJ’s personal physician during his first day back on the job in Houston on November 23 was shot for an upcoming one-episode TV special. Scintillating.
A spokesman for Dr. Murray says the production company was “interested in the reaction of patients to his return” after a five-month absence after MJ’s demise.
The crew followed Murray around the whole day. We’re sure that’ll make for gripping TV. They were probably hoping for a lot of hecklers yelling “MURDERER!”
Kill Michael Jackson, score a TV deal. That’s Hollywood for you.
The spokesman also notes that Dr. Murray hasn’t received a dime for his work … as of right now. But he will get paid an unspecified amount once the special airs.
Dr. Conrad Murray is refusing to allow the company to air the project until the Michael Jackson investigation is complete … and as we know, that could be awhile.
The spokesman says the wait could last “a couple of years.”
Just to be safe, Murray’s camp claims they’re holding all of the footage: “Dr. Murray is currently working 12 hour days … to pay off his [child support] debt.”
Dude’s baby mama sued him, after all. He may or may not be a murderer, but he is a deadbeat dad. We’ve determined that in the last few months at least.
