Move over Vanessa Hudgens and High School Musical.

Take a seat Sabrina Bryan and The Cheetah Girls.

Disney is hoping to capitalize on a new singing sensation: The Jones Brothers. The trio’s popularity is about to soar, thanks to the upcoming original series J.O.N.A.S.

E! Online is reporting that the Disney Channel production is scheduled to start shooting in early 2008 and premiere later in the year.

But just who are The Jones Brothers?

Anyone over the age of 17 may not know. They include: 19-year-old Kevin, 18-year-old Joseph and 15-year-old Nick Jonas. In the series, these three will pretty much portray themselves, similar to Britney Spears if she ever starred in a documentary about train wrecks.

To increase interest in its latest import, the Disney Channel will air a special Jonas Brothers in Concert, featuring the boys performing tunes from their self-titled sophomore album in New York’s Grammercy Park.

And this should net the group lots of exposure: they go on tour with Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus next month.
