As long as you can sing, that is. Beyonce has launched a nationwide search for an all-girl band to accompany her upcoming solo tour. No, this won’t be Destiny’s Child II, but rather musicians meant solely to act as a touring ensemble.
Jay-Z’s much hotter half is looking for percussion, keyboard, bass, guitar and horn players with a “look” – you know, that “it” persona, that glamorious quality that all stars possess and Kevin Federline just dreams about.
Auditions for the backup positions kick off next week, with sessions being held in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston and Burbank. Hopefuls must be at least 18 years old and will be asked to perform Knowles’ hit, “Work It Out.” Final cuts will be June 20.
Beyonce’s second solo album, B’Day, hits shelves on September 5. You can also look for the starlet in December, starring alongside Eddie Murphy, Jaime Foxx and former American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson, in the film, Dreamgirls.
