Russell Crowe is the best actor of our generation, according to many. We probably agree.

Paul Walker and Philip Seymour Hoffman's untimely deaths left voids in their unfinished projects.

While the Fast & Furious franchise opted to use Walker's real-life, non-acting brother to finish up, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will go on with a computer-generated image of Plutarch Heavensbee in Hoffman's place.

None of that would matter had those men had their very own celebrity doppelgänger.

And after creating this celebrity look-alike gallery, we're sort of shocked no one tapped Joseph Gordon-Levitt to fill in for Heath Ledger. (Just wait until you get to #7 and see what we mean.)

Prepare to have your mind blown, ladies and THGers. These 19 celebrity look-alikes are so similar you won't believe they aren't related. (They aren't. We checked.)

Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel looks more like Katy Perry than she does her own sister. No Bones about it.

With the major networks descending on New York City this week in order to announce their upcoming lineups - peruse the 2014-2015 NBC schedule and Fox schedule now - we just have one question:

Is it too late for Ricky Gervais and Russell Crowe to headline their very own series?

The comedian and the actor very much enjoyed a nigh of drinking together in Newcastle, England last night, chronicling the evening out in a series of hilarious Tweets.

Ricky Gervais and Russell Crowe

"Who am I getting drunk with at the moment?" Gervais wrote along with a photo of the stars looking a tad disheveled at a restaurant.

Crowe replied to the message with: "@rickygervais Roger Moore?"

If one thing's for sure after looking through this slideshow it's that Joan Rivers' plastic surgeon needs to start handing out his business card on the red carpet.

Or we could just let people age like they're supposed to so they don't end up looking like Joan Rivers one day. Yeah, there's that option.

Here, so you can see and believe, are 18 stars who are the same age. You can Google if you want, but you might be too busy picking your jaw up off the floor to do that.

Kate Upton and Selena Gomez
Starting life as a Disney star might have done Selena Gomez good. She and Kate Upton are both 21 but one looks far older than the other.

From booze, to drugs, to just plain ol' genetics, everybody ages. Even Hollywood's rich and famous and attention-seeking reality TV stars.

Some just do it better than others.

And Hollywood's women do it better than the men, even counting Joan Rivers among the lot.

So, someone tweeted a naked photo on Russell Crowe's account.

Not of the actor. Of a woman's pubic region. Up close.

It was quickly deleted, after which Crowe wrote:

Eating Crowe

"Hey, I don't know what that was. Just having a chat with Dani [Danielle Spencer, his estranged wife] when the phone went ballistic. Sorry, gone."

Based on other Crowe tweets, the actor has been enjoying some downtime in Los Angeles while Man of Steel continues to rake in the big bucks.

Either Russell is still trying to figure out Twitter, or he got hacked. Regardless, most of his Tweets involve things like his gym schedule, and so on.

Aside from the occasional crotch shot, not a lot to see.

Russell Crowe may have ruined Les Miserables for some, but at least the actor isn't shying away from the criticism.

In light of Adam Lambart lambasting the cast vocals last week - Tweeting how the "score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers" - the Oscar winner has now responded.

And you may be surprised by Crowe's retort.

Russell Crowe at Les Mis Premiere

After a follower sent him Lambert's critique, Crowe took to Twitter and... mostly agreed with the former American Idol finalist.

"I don't disagree with Adam, sure it could have been sweetened," Crowe wrote. "[Les Miserables director Tom] Hooper wanted it raw and real, that's how it is."

Fair enough, those also irritating enough according to many.

What did you think of Les Miserables? Grade it now:

Les Miserables is an impressive cinematic achievement that remains true to the iconic Broadway production, changing scarcely a storyline or a lyric and likely satisfying fans of the long-running musical.

There's just one minor problem: Russell Crowe absolutely cannot sing.

Russell Crowe as Javert

The Oscar winner portrays Inspector Javert in the film, an integral character who sets his sights on Hugh Jackman's fugitive, Jean Valjean.

But while Jackman has won Tony Awards and shined on stage, Crowe simply can't carry a tune.

Russell Crowe had to be bailed out by the U.S. Coast Guard over the weekend after a kayaking trip went wrong off the coast of New York's Long Island.

The star, who is in the area filming Darren Aronofsky's Noah, launched from Cold Spring Harbor Saturday afternoon, but got lost at sea as it grew dark.

Crowe and a friend managed to make their way to shore, beaching their kayaks in Huntington Bay, nearly 10 miles east from where they had set out.

The coast guard was patrolling the area and heard the 48-year-old calling out around 10 p.m. Crowe and his friend were brought to Huntington Harbor.

"It wasn't really a rescue," a Coast Guard spokesman said. "Really, more of just giving someone a lift." The men were wearing life vests and uninjured.

Crowe Tweeted at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, "Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way... 4 hrs 30 mins, 7m (11.2km)."

And he later expounded, writing, "We knew where exactly where we were, paddling around from csh into wind, we ran out of day. Grand adventure eh."
