Britney Spears is making a habit of appearing before a judge. She and ex-husband Kevin Federline are due back in court later today to revisit the custody arrangement of their young sons.
Spears’ lawyer is expected to argue that the pop music star has complied with all of the judges previous stipulations and should resume shared custody of her two children, Sean Preston and Jaden James.
The singer had lost her custody rights earlier this month amid allegations of “habitual, frequent and continuous use of drugs and alcohol.” Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon withdrew Spears’ visitation rights after she ignored mandatory stipulations set forth by the court.
Earlier this week, Spears’ and Federline attended a court ordered “Parents Without Conflict” class. Spears must also undergo random drug and alcohol testing.
Aside from the court session today, lawyers have been busy on Spears’ behalf this week. They have entered a not guilty plea for a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid drivers license. At the same hearing, a charge of hit-and-run was dismissed.
Advice to Britney – hire a driver.
