Katt Williams: NOT Sorry for Anti-Mexican Rant
Katt Williams wants to make one thing clear: he is not sorry.
The comedian got into it with a fan at a gig in Phoenix last week, telling the man "this ain’t Mexico. It used to be Mexico [expletive] and now it’s Phoenix... Do you remember when white people used to say 'Go back to Africa,' and we'd have to tell them we don't want to? So if you love Mexico, [expletive], get the [expletive] over there!"
It appeared as if Williams was contrite for this outburst soon after it was made public, but he tells CNN an apology was penned by his publicist and was simply "for the Tracy Morgans of the world," referring to that actor's response to his own stand-up scandal in June.
"I don't think I need to apologize for being pro-American," Williams says.
Katt Williams Arrested Following Tractor Attack
Alleged comedian Katt Williams has been arrested again. That's not surprising in the least, but the details surrounding his latest bust sort of are.
The Katt was busted in Palmdale, Calif., after an intense standoff with ... a tractor driver doing work outside the home where Williams was staying.
The man claims that three women approached his vehicle and began attacking him with rocks and dirt clods around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.
After suffering facial injuries, the man called his wife to pick him up, but when she arrived, Williams pulled up in an SUV and blocked their exit.
That's when the man called 911, the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. arrived and the women were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
Katt Williams was charged with intimidating a witness, a felony, and was hauled to a station and booked. He posted $50K bail and left.
Even for a guy who gets arrested so often, this was a new one.
Katt Williams Arrested, Jailed on Burglary Charge
Apparent comedian Katt Williams has been arrested and jailed in Georgia on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing following an incident yesterday.
A deputy at the jail in Coweta County, southwest of Atlanta, said Williams was being held and that a magistrate was expected to set bond at arraignment.
The deputy didn't have access to a police report to provide more details of the alleged break-in using a crowbar. Katt Williams' real name is Micah Williams.
He's known for appearances on BET and HBO, including an HBO special, Katt Williams: Pimp Chronicles Part 1, shot in Atlanta. He also had roles in the movies Friday After Next and Norbit, among other works of genius.
THAT DARN KATT: Williams' mug shot taken yesterday.
Williams was arrested after a man named Daniel Broach claimed the comedian broke into his home Sunday night and stole $3,555 worth of jewelry and collectible coins.
Katt's lawyer says the whole thing is a sham and just the result of a dispute Katt had with a another man. Katt is officially back on the prowl, for now, after posting bail.
