Juan Pablo Galavis: The Next Bachelor?

by at .  Updated at . Comments

As The Bachelorette spoilers predicted, Juan Pablo Galavis did not make it to the end of the current season. But what no one saw coming is this:

He's being called the front-runner to become the next Bachelor!

"The ladies seem to love him, and he's really good-looking and personable," says a source who works on the show and is involved in the casting.

Nothing is final, according to insiders, and there are two other guys who are still in consideration, should Juan Pablo fall through or not want the gig.

We can only assume that means Chris Siegfried, Brooks Forester and/or Drew Kenney, Desiree Hartsock's remaining three men, would get a look.

There are no candidates from outside this Bachelorette season.

Juan Pablo Galavis is a Venezuelan-American professional soccer player who retired in 2009 in order to stay in Miami with his daughter, now 4.

The 31-year-old had a very real physical connection with Desiree Hartsock, and many felt he was not only nice, but the hottest guy on the show.

He would also be the first minority Bachelor, something ABC no doubt covets after enduring criticism over the years for casting cookie cutter white guys.

Monday night’s The Bachelorette: Men Tell All episode ended on a jarring note ... and with one. Read on for the details.

Umm. He is NOT a minority. He may not be "cookie cutter" - But he's still a White guy from Ithaca, NY.

@ marco

His parents are both venezuelan. Yes he's white, but not the typicall plain white american guy... he looks very mediterranean to me.

@ Alex

I am European and he look like me and I am Swiss. Maybe you need to get your eyes check. Most whites americans are not blond or blue eyes like this guy

He doesn't speak English very clearly and he has a daughter he shouldn't leave

@ Chrity

Enjoy program, see it almost every episode.

No. He has no personality.
