Sorry, Amanda Bynes. A&E has taken away your opportunity for televised substance abuse assistance.
The network announced this week that it has canceled Intervention, though five new episodes remain and will kick off on Thursday, June 13.
"As ‘Intervention' comes to an end, we're proud to have paved the way for such an original and groundbreaking series," said A&E and BIO Channel Executive VP David McKillop.
"We're honored to have been a part of the 243 interventions since its premiere in March of 2005, leading to the 156 individuals that are currently sober to this day."
Jeff Van Vonderen, Candy Finnigan and Donna Chavous will all be featured on the concluding installments as addiction specialists, with A&E teasing these final hours as especially intense.
In other network news, Duck Dynasty is not going anywhere.
