Sadie Robertson, who also designed her own line of prom dresses, "wants to maybe be on a talk show ... she wants to be on Dancing with the Stars!"

The teenager has also performed a duet with country superstar Allison Kraus, and co-hosts YouTube series called "The New Different" with Kolby Koloff.

There was a time when the Robertson family of A&E's Duck Dynasty fame were not redneck royalty, as they reminded us on last night's season finale.

If you watch Duck Dynasty online, you know this well. But it was really driven home this week as the gang headed to the lake to celebrate Willie’s birthday.

“When I was a kid [at] D’Arbonne Lake, we didn't have the means,” said Jase. “We're going to go back to our roots, but this time we're going to do it right.”

Of course, Jase forgot the key to Godwin’s uncle’s lake house where they would be staying, while Si looked back fondly on going in the lake as a kid.

Yes, as in going #1 or #2 for that matter.

“Look, I don’t know what the big deal is okay?” said Si, as only Si says such a thing. “The lake is like having a shower and bathroom combo, okay."

This week, on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 8, the Robertsons returned to their roots: Duck calls. And someone returned one of said duck calls, citing poor quality.

If you watch Duck Dynasty, you know there have been some "Before the Dynasty" vignettes lately, showing the gang before their rise to A&E reality stardom.

Throwing it back to 2009, we saw Jase Robertson read a customer complaint stating, “To whom it may concern, bought duck call, sounds good, it ‘wables.’”

Consulting the dictionary and failing to find what “wables” means, Jase realized the customer meant that the call wobbles, when rolled across a flat surface.

As Jase told the concerned customer, “if it doesn’t wobble, it wouldn’t work.” And with that, all was right with the warehouse again. Elsewhere in West Monroe?

Phil showed up with a smelly plastic bag full of beaver dung. Standard.

Duck Dynasty, once a cable powerhouse, has been bleeding viewers for the past few seasons, to the point where some say it may even get the axe.

The catalyst was the controversy involving Phil Robertson, the show’s patriarch who infamously disparaged homosexuals in a 2013 GQ interview.

That alone hasn't led to a decline of nearly two-thirds from the show's peak audience of 12 million viewers, however. Experts say it's just the life cycle of reality TV.

Jase Robertson: No Beard!
Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty with no beard. That was a long time ago. With Jase is his wife Missy.

Jeffrey McCall, a media studies professor at DePauw University, says "shows based on unique or unusual people usually don’t have great staying power."

"Once viewers have seen the personalities and their lifestyles, audiences tend to move along… Duck Dynasty already beat the odds by getting to Season 6.”

Other industry insiders say the show’s marketability has been able to save it from cancelation before, and may continue to do so for awhile longer.

Moreover, the network airing it says Season 7 is already in the can.

Wednesday on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 7, what began as a friendly game of badminton escalated into a full-on battle for sibling supremacy.

Of the outdoor and wilderness variety. Even Alan got in on the action!

Often maligned and subject to his older siblings' harassment, Jep said of his badminton triumph over WIllie and Jase: “They are losers, just not very good ones.”

True to form, Willie and Jase challenged their brothers to ... anything.

Pick an activity outside, the hirsute duo boasted, and they will prevail.

Jep produced a comeback familiar to those who watch Duck Dynasty online: "I'm better looking and I'm my mom’s favorite. Beat that ding dongs."

The ding dongs' challenge? Getting dropped off in the middle of the woods, teaming up in pairs, and racing back to Phil and Miss Kay's residence.

On A&E's Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 6, Jase and company "debugged" the family duck blinds, while CEO Willie tried to teach the kids about business.

Because it always beats working, Jase took some of the guys from Duck Commander on a search for crawfish ... inside the duck blinds on the family land.

Jase loves crawfish almost as much as he loves frogs, so he's willing to go to great lengths to acquire them, despite what you might call occupational hazards.

John Godwin went into a blind and encountered a gator - one that was "Godzilla big, like a bull,” he said - but which Willie removed with his bare hands.

Godwin exaggerations aside, it was thus time to debug the blinds, or in layman's terms, clean them the heck out so there are no critters living in there.

Being a duck hunter, Jase explains is not what the public makes it out to be or what you would simply assume if you watch Duck Dynasty online.

It's serious effort, with a lot of preparation, tedious tasks and Jase's equivalent of paperwork - cleaning out the blinds. Still beats actual paperwork, Jase.

The Duck Dynasty clan is back in the news this week for reasons outside of their A&E reality show, only this time, there's no controversy involved.

They are in the nation’s capital taking on a new issue: public health.

Mia Robertson, Family

If you watch Duck Dynasty, you know that Mia Roberston, 10, the daughter of Jase and Missy Robertson, was born with a cleft lip and cleft palate.

She had her final corrective surgery in January, and the family started the Mia Moo Fund to raise awareness and money for research and treatment of the birth defect.

Mia and her parents spoke alongside Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ), also born with a cleft lip and palate, in front of the Capitol Tuesday about the foundation.

“As the Robertson family, we don’t back away from any challenges,” said Missy of her daughter and so many other children born with cleft lips or palates.

On A&E's Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 5, the gang seriously considered revamping the Duck Commander logo, crazy as that might sound to fans.

The motto "if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it," applies to many things in life, and the Robertson family certainly embraces it with its emphasis on family and tradition.

Yet CEO Willie put it in everybody's heads that he wants to hire someone to design a snazzy new Duck Commander symbol to reinvigorate the brand.

The flying duck has been the main image of the Robertson’s family business since 1972, when the Duck Commander himself, Phil Robertson, founded it.

Ultimately, despite Jase Robertson and the guys getting a little carried away in response to the idea, the logo change is scuttled and everyone is happy.

Things turned serious on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 4.

Kind of. Sort of. At least when compared to the many poop jokes made on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 3.

On the latest installment of this A&E smash, Duck Commander hosted a pancake breakfast to support the West Monroe fire department, as learned that Willie once gave the police chief an "atomic wedgie” and that Si has an interesting pancake-eating system.

"My first stack was four; second stack was six. This one is seven. I cannot eat it uneven. It's out of balance," explained the latter.

Police Chief Chuckles (real name!) then sets Willie, Jase and Jep up to learn about fighting fires for an afternoon.

On last night's Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 3, fan favorite Mountain Man made an appearance, while Jep's daughter Lily has her first boyfriend.

Mountain Man, Willie and Korie's slow-talking, jack-of-all-trades neighbor, is doing a "hands-on" event for the radio show that Willie and Si went on.

To play: Everyone keeps a hand on an object and the last person standing wins it. Willie spends $1,000 to "help the community." MM buys a wood chipper.

Si decides he's going to compete, as does Willie, and despite what you think you might know of Si if you watch Duck Dynasty online, he can hold it.

If he needs to. Even whilst consuming about a gallon of tea.

Meanwhile, Jep's girl is growing up and despite his reservations, dad tags along on a mini-golf date with the awkward elementary school couple.

John Daniel (J.D.) even brings flowers. Pretty cute stuff.

He's also a hunter, which further wins over Jep, and speaking of winning, Willie ... gets tricked by Jase into letting go of the wood chipper. Si FTW?!
