Sporting hew new bangs, First Lady Michelle Obama graces the April cover of Vogue. It's her second time featured in the preeminent fashion magazine.
In addition to her second-term hairstyle, the 49-year-old FLOTUS shows off her toned arms in a sleeveless blue dress featuring a center maroon panel:
She says that no matter what's on her plate these days, family comes first.
"Our job is, first and foremost, to make sure our family is whole. You know, we have small kids; they're growing every day," Michelle Obama explains.
Sasha and Malia's mom adds, "I think we were both pretty straightforward when we said, 'Our No. 1 priority is making sure that our family is whole.'"
"The stresses and the pressures of this job are so real that when you get a minute, you want to give that extra energy to your 14- and 11-year-old."
What has she learned from life in the White House - and from her husband?
"Well, patience and calm I'm borrowing. Or trying to mirror. I've learned that from my husband, that sort of, you know, ability to not get too high or too low."
"To do more breathing in and just going with it. I'm learning that every day. And to the extent that I’ve made changes in my life, it's just sort of stepping back."
"Seeing a change not as something to guard against but as a wonderful addition," she tells Vogue, "is something that can make life fun and unexpected."
