Aurora Shooting Victim Files Lawsuit Against Movie Theater, Warner Bros.
by Hilton Hater at .Torrence Brown, Jr., one of the many Dark Knight Rises viewers who was inside the Aurora, Colorado movie theater when James Holmes opened fire last Friday morning, has filed a lawsuit in conjunction with the massacre.
Brown was not physically injured, but he lost close friend A.J. Boik in the shooting and says he's suffering from major trauma. As a result, he's filed a suit against three defendants:
- The movie theater, which attorney Donald Karpel says was negligent in not possessing a more secure emergency door, which made it easy for Holmes to prop it open and enter it with his arsenal of guns.
- Holmes' doctors. The lawyer also tells TMZ that Holmes is believed to have been on medication - he was acting VERY strangely yesterday in court - and his doctors failed in monitoring their patient properly.
- Warner Bros., the studio behind The Dark Knighr Rises, because the movie is especially violent, Holmes was basing his actions largely around it and movie goes weren't even sure if he was part of the attraction or not when he first made his fatal move.
"Somebody has to be responsible for the rampant violence that is shown today," Karpel says.

Yes, Warner Bros. should be sued and they should be held responsible along with universal pictures and musics. They material has been nothing but Satanic and Evil. What if he was smart enough to receive the messages and understand what they have been sending through the media. What if tomorrow one million messages go through the televisions and says you should kill people? Not everyone going to do it, but someone will.
Warner Brothers cannot be sued for the violent content of the movie. That one is DOA. The right to produce such materials is covered by the first ammendment. The court won't even entertain that lawsuit. The movie theater is off the hook as long as they provided reasonable security compared with other theaters. Which I assume is the case. The only way he could get anything out of the doctors is if they knew he was contemplating killing people. That also seems unlikely.
I think he should sue the crap out the theater for the simple fact that they wouldnt allow concealed carry. They didnt provide reasonable protection after disarming the law abiding citizens. It would have only taken one person to be armed to have stopped that crazy fool. Just like the stabbing last week in salt lake city. Amazing how you hear about all the bad stuff involving firearms on the media but never the good things. Just goes to show how liberals want to ruin this country.
Why doesn he sue who sold him the weapons and 6000 rounds of ammunition cause there more to blame than the cinema or studio,
Personal I don't think he should have filed..first of all he is filing cuz he is hurt mentally by the actions of holmes, so wouldn't you think that entering a prolonged nd we all know it gonna be dragged out, lawsuit make then mental pain worse do to the fact that he will be forced to rep live tht day
