by at . Comments

In a new interview, U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords documents her story of untold strength and resilience after surviving an assassination attempt back in January.

Giffords was shot in the head at an event in her native Arizona and nearly died.

In addition to her recovery, Giffords and her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, opened up about her new book Gabby: A Story of Hope and Courage, to ABC.

If you don’t mind getting teary-eyed at your desk at work, watch the preview below, which features footage of Giffords’ inspirational and painful road back.

Watch these clips of the Congresswoman, her spouse and Diane Sawyer:

There was a time when I thought you were a Journalist! Today I think of you as a Pathetic Liberal Simple Minded Wornout Bitch. Your useless questions along with George S. made you look like a idiot. I hope they run your ass out! You will end just like Barbara Walters! Your Legacy will be a Wash!

@ Free Britney,
Thank you for pulling at the heart strings. Even though Gabrielle is a "representative in the political arena, she is a Hero or heroine in the everyday scope of things. She and others lost their lives and good health behind an act of cowardice, who is claiming to be unfit for trial. I do Not recall his Name, but supporters will long remember Garbrielle Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly as a strong and loving couple who have shown us all the inner strength that can Nurse a spouse back to health.
Again thank you for the update on Gabby!!
