The devastated, dumped Katie Price, a.k.a. Jordan, has sensationally declared "I want Pete back," according to the UK's reputable News of the World.
The British model has admitted for the first time that she had made the "biggest mistake of my life" in driving away long-suffering hubby Peter Andre.
Katie Price, who turned 31 Friday, pleaded to the paper for a do-over: "I'll take Pete back tomorrow. I'll drop the divorce if he gives me another chance."
"If I only I could turn back the clock. I've made the biggest mistake of my life and it's all my own fault ... If I'd known I was driving Pete away so badly I would have pulled back. I don't want a divorce, I just want us back as a family."
It would be oh-so-convenient - and play right into the theory held by some observers that this is just a publicity stunt - if they got back together now.
However, it looks like the split is for real: Over the weekend, Peter Andre reportedly insisted there was absolutely no chance of him taking Jordan back.
After years of being mocked and bullied by his loose cannon spouse, with whom he has two small children, Peter Andre snapped after seeing pics of Price on a boozy night out in Bristol with pal and hunky dressage coach Andrew Gould.
A close friend of the pop singer said: "Pete will always love Kate but he didn't just walk away on a whim. This wasn't just about one drunken night."
"He left because of years of frustration ... It's sweet that Kate is realizing how much she has screwed things up, but it's not going to make a difference."
"Pete never wanted this to happen and it took a lot for him to walk away. At the moment there is no way back and I don't see that changing."
Peter spent yesterday at the seaside with his two children by Jordan - Junior, three, and Princess Tiaami, 21 months. It was the first time he had seen them since the split with Katie Price was announced almost a fortnight ago.
According to sources close to the large-breasted model, the access Jordan readily granted was seen as a clear sign of how much she wants Peter back.
