Speidi Twitters Support For Perez, Rips Carrie Prejean
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag may be shameless, self-promoting and annoying, but the Bible-reading Hills pair believes all human beings are equal and should receive the same rights they will enjoy when they get married Saturday.
In the wake of the ongoing controversy surrounding Carrie Prejean, the Miss USA runner-up who says Perez Hilton's question about - and her opposition to - gay marriage cost her the crown, Twitter-obsessed Spencer wrote to Perez:
"This Miss USA question was genius! GOD is ALL LOVE so any way that people try to use GOD to make other people feel bad is PURE EVIL!!!"
We can't believe we're saying it, but Mr. Pratt actually deserves some props for this profoundly simple point. As does his plastic bride-to-be.
On her Twitter page, Heidi Montag offered support for the celebrity gossip blogger and gays and lesbians across the world, Tweeting passionately:
"God says in the bible that we should love our neighbor and he created us all as equals. I know in my heart that gays and lesbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage and I hope to one day go to YOUR wedding, Perez!!!"
Take that, Carrie Prejean.
And it's not just Speidi - you can count Miley Cyrus as a member of Team Perez, as well. Here's what the 16-year-old star had to Twitter:
"Jesus loves you AND your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! thats like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz hes gay and that is WRONG and very sad! like i said everyone deserves to be happy ... i am a christian and i love you - gay or not. BECAUSE you are no different that anyone else! we are all gods children!"
Praise? Thoughts? Criticisms? Reponses? Have at it!

In response to Sammy's response to my response,
A homosexual act is unprotected sex. Think about it. I mean, just because u use condoms or take birth control pills doesn't mean u cant get pregnant. Its still possible. With that said, u can get STDs from homosexual acts. remember the word "acts" please. And I believe, according to the Bible, that premarital sex is wrong. Obviously u dont believe that. U see, i don't believe people have the right to sex outside of marriage.

Oh, wow. This comment made me laugh my ass off.
Well, wouldn't u say that a homosexual act is unprotected sex? I'm not saying that *being* gay leads to STDs. I'm simply saying that *acting* on it can lead to STDs.
How is a homosexual act unprotected sex? Gay men can wear condoms too. Any unprotected sex can lead to STDs, what's your point?
Homosexual men/women should have the same rights as anyone else.

Well, wouldn't u say that a homosexual act is unprotected sex? I'm not saying that *being* gay leads to STDs. I'm simply saying that *acting* on it can lead to STDs. It's the same with premarital sex. Both r considered unprotected sex. And God doesn't just appear. He's always there. And He always will be. And I don't expect homosexuals to disappear. They're gonna be here. I'd like to point out that there is a difference between person and behavior. God loves the person, but hates the behavior.

Are you serious. Let me understand this correctly, at the tender age of 14, your life's experiences have led you to the aaumption that being gay increases the risk of HIV/AIDS? I'm not sure what your teachers, family, friends and apparently church is telling you, but it's unprotected sex that spreads any STD. That's the problem with most Americans, they think like you all seem to. For the record, I'm a straight chick and married to a wonderful man. What gives you the right to deny someone the same happiness I've found through marriage. And while this woman is entitled to her opinion, just as you are to yours, remember burying your head in the sand does not make homosexuals disappear, or God appear.

Okay, I'd like to adress all the above comments in my comment. First off, I'd like to say that I'm only 14, and I hate the fact that I have to see all this, but since I do, I feel the need to be an evangelist for Christ. First off, the Bible is the infoulable word of God, meaning it's completely true. So I do love the homosexual people, but at the same time, I recognize the act of homosexuality as a sin. God still loves them, regardless of their sinful nature because he loves all of us, and we all have sinful natures. But we should repent from our sinful natures and ask God to help us cope with our problems. Homosexuality is a problem some people have. But they should ask God to help cleanse them of their problems. And God answers prayers and can perform miracles if it is His will. And another thing, homosexuals r far more susceptible to AIDS than the heterosexual. So if u people that support homosexual acts really cared for the homosexuals, u'd try to keep them from homosexual acts be

i highly doubt carrie prejean cares what heidi montag or spencer pratt thinks about her. and she definitley doesn't need to explain herself to them or hannah montanta.

It also says in the Bible that it's not your place to judge! You have no right telling people who they can or cannot marry! It's not your place to judge them. The Bible is a book of stories, and yes whether you like it or not, some of those stories have been changed through the years, I don't think God hates homosexuals, God loves EVERYONE, gay or straight! How do you know that some biggot, homophobe such as yourselves didn't ad that into the Bible about God being against homosexuality? But either way, it's not your place to judge! You should leave it to God and shut your homophobic mouths! Half of you hating people for being gay are probably breaking far worse rules from the Bible then they are, so stop judging and leave them alone!

Please stop humanizing god, it's such the wrong approach to spirituality. If you really are a christian you wouldn't take the bible so literally and all you would focus on would be charity, selflessness and love for all things, just like the main man JC.
