Nice guys really do finish last.
In a bit of a stunner tonight on The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas rejected wonderful single dad Jason Mesnik - the superior candidate by almost any measure - instead opting for goofy "professional snowboarder" Jesse Csincsak (pictured).
In typical Bachelorette fashion, viewers were led to believe Jason Mesnick - a loving father to three-year-old Ty and a grounded businessman from Washington - had it locked up, outshining his competition throughout and charming her family.
But it was Jesse Csincsak who DeAnna Pappas chose - and is engaged to.
Did DeAnna Pappas make the right call with Jesse Csincsak?

I cant believe she picked Jessie. I totally thought Jason was going to win. I had my heart set on him from the beginning. :(

She picked the right one baby, uh huh!!! Nothing wrong with Jason, he's a great catch and his bride will come. But Jesse is the perfect match for Deanna and it's refreshing to see that not all of America is superficial. She looked beyond the first physical impression and really listened. And yes, that ride on the snowboard would have sealed the deal for me!! He has heart and a sense of humor. CONGRATULATIONS to you both!

I personally think that Jason is the better guy all around, and if DeAnna couldn't see that then she really is better off with Jesse...Jason deserves someone better. Jason had a great attitude about the whole situation which will get him very far.

Well, we'll all see when May 9, 2009, comes around. The "fun" will have worn off by then and I really think Deanna will realize that she made the wrong choice. Jason has been married before, had his heart broken before, and he was SO smitten with Deanna that I'm sure that *he* was positive before he spoke those 3 little words to someone again. She would never had to doubt his sincerety with her. I really hope things work out for her and Jesse but I just think if she really wanted to settle down (like she SAID she did), Jesse wasn't the right choice. Regardless, congratulations to them both. I truly wish them 29 years and counting that I have with my husband.

WTF.......Deanne made the wrong choice. I was rooting for Jason from day one. If she really wanted to settle down and have a family she would have picked Jason. He is by far better looking one, sincere, a businessman and as we saw great with kids. Deanne will realize that she made the wrong choice when the engagement gets called off or the marriage does not last. I guess she will be the one making the money for the 2 of them---professional snowboarder---give me a break. I know that Jason will find someone who is deserving of him---Deannes loss!!!!

I can't believe she chose Jesse with his little pageboy flip! I guess it's really true that attractive girls go for the ugly guys. She'll be sorry when he can't do anything for a living but ride his stupid snowboard. You really screwed up DeAnna.

DeAnna was a fool to give up Jason, I will make sure not to watch the rest of the show, and I will not watch her wedding if she has one. Jason has class and what a catch he would be. DeAnna gave away the ending when she said befor the commercial she gave up the perfect one for her but she fell in love with someone else. What a fool she is.

Jesse ia far from ugly. He kept getting more and more attractive as time passed and that snowboard ride with DeAnna on his back was hot! I've been pulling for Jesse all along and believe DeAnna made the right choice for her. I pegged her by saying she thought she knew what she wanted (on paper) but realized as things progressed, she didn't know herself as well as she thought. Jesse and DeAnna share a spark and chemistry that wasn't there with Jason. And May 9, 2009 is Mother's Day weekend - what better day to turn a sad day into future, happy memories! I should know, I lost my mother to cancer at 14 and married on Mother's Day two years ago. Congrats to them both!

Yeah, the majority of the viewers were probably accepting Jason. I too thought she would choose Jason, but when she chose Jesse, i wasnt disappointed. Seeing her happy is all that matters. Hopefully Jesse will treat her right, and love her, and not end up leaving her.
Im sure Jason wouldve treated her right, but i guess her heart was with Jesse, hopefully she won't be left signing divorce papers .
