Jamie Lynn Spears Welcomes Baby Maddie Briann!
There is a new celebrity baby in the Spears clan! Jamie Lynn Spears and fiance Casey Aldridge welcomed a baby girl this morning: Maddie Briann!
"Just the family was there," says a source at the hospital in Mississippi where Jamie Lynn gave birth. "Everyone is healthy and happy."
Maddie Briann Aldridge was born around 9:30 this morning.
The big news follows reports that Jamie Lynn was hospitalized with complications and would be giving birth today. Glad she did - and everyone's healthy!
Jamie Lynn's big sister, Britney Spears, papa Jamie Spears and big brother Bryan Spears all flew in Wednesday to be with her for the birth.
Her mother, Lynne Spears, had been with her all along helping her get ready to sell the celebrity baby photos to OK! Magazine have the baby.
Britney Spears was on hand as Jamie Lynn Spears welcomed Maddie Briann into the world, as was her fiance / baby daddy, Casey Aldridge.
Since announcing her pregnancy in December, Jamie Lynn has been laying low in the comforts of her hometown of Kentwood, La. She and Casey Aldridge, who got engaged this spring, bought a house in nearby Liberty, Miss.
Over the last few months, Jamie Lynn Spears has kept busy by passing her GED exam, preparing the nursery and attending multiple baby showers.
Jamie Lynn's former co-star on Zoey 101, Erin Sanders, said earlier this year that the young actress will be a terrific and fun mother.
"She is just a very good-hearted and warm person," he said.
"We would always hang out on the set and she is a lot of fun, so I think she's going to be an easygoing, fun mom."

Why is this news? A teen age girl gets pregnant and has a child. This happens all the time. Publicizing it only glamorizes it and will give more white trash girls the idea to get pregnant.

i agree, its almost like they're congradulating her, make it seem like her situation is a good thing. and jamie being too easygoing with that girl will just make the whole "spears" cycle happen again

Uh, I don't think people will "get the idea to get pregnant" since it obviously wasn't an "idea" that Jamie Lynn had... It's pretty clear that her pregnancy was unplanned. She's 17--this can't be easy for her to deal with, but she seems to be taking responsibility and making the best of the way things are. Give her a little credit for that, she's been criticized enough.

We should be proud that she keep her child instead of aborting an innocent life but we shold pray hard for her too that she won't follow the eccentric footsteps of her sis!!

nuttin big abt tis!! just another young teenager mummy who might not be able to handle the baby well and ended going bonkers like elder sister.
the couple might never be together as they're simply too young to handle parenthood, c'mon pity the baby as she may go fatherless or motherless somehow.

Allright. Everybody that is bashing the girl should seriosuly take a look at your own family. No body's family is perfect. Everybody ahs there difficulties and struggles they go through. Jamie Lynn was women enought to step up to the plate and take responsibilty for her actions. Teenager or not. I think everyone should have respect for her. She just gave up her entire life, to devote herself to he child. And if you ask me, thats pretty dang amazing. You know, not every teenage girl that gets pregnant is a skank. Something like that that happens when your a teenager, is oviously unplanned and an accident. Teenagers are sexually active. Thats a duh! Alot of teenagers have sex. so you cant sit and call the unlucky ones who get preganant a skank because you do it to. So that must make you one. Its just a draw of the cards, and Jamie Lynn happened to be picked. So be happy for her, give her a chance to prove that she can be a good mother. Stop bashing her family and sit back and watch her blow you away!

hey girl how is the baby she is cute if you are thinking about giving her away thats not a good idea becuse she will not no who her mom is and you will be lost whith out her at frist i was mad becuse you had sex at a early age but i am over that i love waching zoey 101 thats my best show when you left i cryed and i know you and chas will go out just by the way he acted around you but if you give her away i will tell ecer one to stop waching your show love your biggest fan
