For once, Paula Abdul may wanna own up to being plastered during American Idol.
The only other excuse the kooky judge could give for critiquing a performance that had yet to take place last night - seriously, take a look at the video now - would be that she's a moron.
According to celebrity gossip source TMZ, Abdul was served at least one martini during lunch yesterday, Granted, that was hours before the show aired, but Paula isn't the heaviest woman on the planet. We doubt her tolerance is very high.
Did Paula Abdul give away the fact that American Idol is scripted with remarks about a Jason Castro performance that hadn't taken place?

Oh come on--she's such a lush that her tolerance must be through the roof. One martini at lunch is meaningless.

She made an honest mistake. That's live television.

Paula Abdule wasnt drunk on th show!!!
like she said she got confused because she was reading her notes for davids performance. So stop making a big deal out of a simple misunderstanding :[

Paula's note cards being on the table ready to read from her listening to rehearsal time recordings....well that's just like Sammy Sosa's corked bat. The authentic audition environment is gone, just like Sammy's home run record. I've been talking for years about the connection between Baseball and AI (and blogged about it on the Sporting News & Idolexpose) and it seems like the elimination process and stars in the spotlight of real-life hero-survivors, it makes the season just like nine innings of regular play. And now, the umpire is picking up the broken corked bat. I also hear rumours that Paula may not be back next season (but I heard that rumour last year too). I would like to return the show to integrity with an honest inquiry for what is true and right, acknowledging that field is murky, imcomplete, and often debateably unfair. I would like to see the contestants judged solely on what the public sees. And pick up the cork laying on the field.

Was Paula Abdul Drunk or is American Idol all a set up. I think Paula Abdul and the other judges might have cards ready and typed out on the performances, Is it possible that American Idol is fixed?

They made big changes in the judging at the last minute..Paula wrote down her thoughts on the show from rehearsal earlier...she just thought they had already sang both songs..that's all it was..just a simple mistake,,,but I guess Paula bashers,,,who wish they had her looks and talent...will bash her to death for this.

This should be the last season for Idol. It is for me and many of my friends. The show is no longer about fantastic singing talent, but teenage popularity. The show and its talent are now only into promoting themselves and raking in $$$. Jason can not sing, David A. looks like Mickey Mouse and sounds the same all the time. David Cook understands how to make songs his own and has real talent. The show and Paula's bizarre mistakes shows the show is scripted for judge responses. Simon appears accurate and believable as he gives advice and accesses songs/performances presented. Idol better give back to its viewers or they are done.

Paula seems like she is so far out in left field almost every night on Idol but Tuesdays show was definately one of those, what planet is she on moments and even Simon had that "Oh my god" look on his face, just priceless. Don't get me wrong I like Paula but I still think she's a ding-bat.

Offer the job to JLo. her career is over like paula's was. How about a pay-per-view wrestling match who gets the job.
