On last week’s 90 Day Fiance, Jasmine learned from Gino’s family about his secret bachelor party.
Sunday, on Season 10, Episode 8, it was time to confront him.
Jasmine remained uncharacteristically calm. At first. As the conversation continued, she grew more and more into the Jasmine to whom we have become accustomed. But … Gino’s no innocent in this.
Gino Palazzolo and Jasmine Pineda

Wearing what we can only describe as “hunter green Margaret Thatcher cosplay,” Jasmine sits down to confront GIno while he assembles furniture. She knows that he had a bachelor party. And she says that she understands that — she had her own party, as he knows. While Jasmine doesn’t love that his was at a strip club, her big issue is that he hid it from her. That’s not healthy. And she’s tired of finding out the hard way about things that he’s done behind her back.
It’s very normal to have a bachelor party, but …

Gino does the thing that viewers have witnessed many times on this show: saying that something’s normal in his culture. First of all, cultures have a lot of variety and beauty, but right and wrong are immutable. More importantly in this instance, bachelor parties being common doesn’t mean that concealing one is. It’s not. This is neither normal nor okay. But Gino is acting as though Jasmine is unreasonable for being upset. Many times, she has been! But not this time.
Gino’s attitude makes things worse

What Gino is doing here is being totally dismissive. We wouldn’t say that it’s an improvement over him sitting and blinking and stammering, either. In the past, we’ve seen Jasmine yell and rant and scream over things that are, frankly, insane. This time? She’s bringing up a reasonable point. Gino’s acting like she’s being unreasonable, and it hurts. To Jasmine, it feels like he doesn’t care.
Here we go

We do not blame Jasmine for crying at this. Sometimes, painful conversation lead to tears. Gino is hurting her feelings, and he’s supposed to love and support her. That said, Jasmine does go overboard, which is perhaps why Gino feels justified in completely ignoring her feelings. It’s like the two of them are playing off of each other in a vicious cycle. Her every tantrum makes him more numb, and his numbness hurts her until she has a new tantrum.
Oh boy

Jasmine tosses her ring onto the carpet and announces that she wants to take her dog, Coco, and return to Panama. Gino just says that it’s “your choice,” which is true. But it’s also not the best way to address the issue. Do either of these people actually want to be with the other? Because they are not acting like a pair of loving adults. And they seldom do.
