How bizarre is it that Farrah Abraham has been in the public eye for nearly ten whole years now?!
When we first got a glimpse of her in her episode of 16 and Pregnant, she was just a small town high school cheerleader, dealing with the death of her boyfriend and a bad home life.
And now ... well, you know what she's like now.
So what happened?
Let's take a look at her career history and try to solve this mystery together!
Way Back When ...
This is Farrah in high school ... it's so weird to see her like this, right? And by "like this," we mean with her natural face. Around this time, she was working part-time jobs in grocery stores and restaurants.
Her First Passion
With her grocery store jobs and gigs at local pizza places, Panera Bread, Applebee's, and Buffalo Wild Wings, it was obvious that Farrah's passion was food. It also helped that throughout the early seasons of Teen Mom, she made it clear that her dream was to one day own her own restaurant.
Despite being a single teen mother, Farrah graduated high school and even went on to continue her education -- she worked towards an associate's degree in culinary arts and management at her local community college.
In 2011, Farrah moved to Florida to attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauterdale. She was looking to get her bachelor's degree in culinary management, and she left Sophia behind in Iowa for a while so she could work towards this goal.
Mom and Me Foods
After moving to Florida, Farrah took a little over a year off from working regular jobs to focus on her schooling (and presumably her blossoming reality TV career), but in 2012 she launched Mom and Me Foods, a company that sells gourmet foods and fine wines, inspired by her Italian ancestors. So that's something!
My Teenage Dream Ended
Also in 2012, Farrah released her first book, a little memoir she charmingly titled My Teenage Dream Ended. The book was largely about her troubled relationship with the late Derek Underwood, her high school boyfriend and Sophia's father.
Farrah the Pop Star
When she released My Teenage Dream Ended, Farrah also released a companion album of the same name. Yeah, like a music album. The title of each track matched the title of each chapter, and it was just awful. Really just absolutely terrible.
2012 was a big year for Farrah! After releasing her memoir, she also released a children's book called Passy Perfume. As you might imagine, it got horrific reviews.
RIP Teen Mom
Another big thing from 2012: Amber Portwood went to prison. This development brought on the cancellation of the original run of Teen Mom, which was definitely a huge change for the course of Farrah's career. It could have inspired to strike while the iron is hot, to take advantage of her fame while she still had it, because ...
Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom
It's the sex tape, y'all! In May of 2013, some "personal footage" Farrah had made with her "boyfriend," very famous porn star James Deen, was "leaked," and the world would never be the same.
Vagina Molds, Anyone?
Although Farrah's entrance into the world of adult entertainment was due to a "leaked sex tape," she jumped in hard: so hard that she had molds made of her vagina and anus so that she could sell her very own sex toys! What an entrepreneur, right?!
We'll say this: when Farrah does something, she doesn't do it half-assed. Let's be honest, she couldn't sell many sex toys that way, you know what we mean? And so in early 2014, she took advantage of her sexy new persona to sell the first of a trilogy of erotica novels. Spoiler: they are ridiculous, just like everything else she does.
Stripping for Science
In the summer of 2014, Farrah began stripping for a little while at a club in Austin. But she didn't do it for fun or anything: she did it, she claimed "for research." She wasn't at liberty to say exactly why she was doing that research, and we still haven't figured it out, but she did say that it was like that time Jennifer Aniston researched for her role as a stripper.
At the end of 2014, MTV began filming new episodes of Teen Mom, now branded as Teen Mom OG. And although Farrah wasn't invited back at first, it didn't take the network too long to realize that it just wouldn't be Teen Mom without Farrah. And thank goodness for that.
The Birth of a Cam Girl
Although we never really heard much about her cam girl services until recently, Farrah has actually been doing this kind of work since fall of 2015, which is when she started her very own cam girl website.
From Porn to Froyo
As you can see, Farrah spent a while there focused on the adult entertainment business, but in 2016 she switched gears a little to open a series of more family friendly shops down in Austin, Texas. The first was Froco, her frozen yogurt shop, which is somehow still in business!
Furnished by Farrah
A few months after opening Froco, our girl opened her own furniture store, imaginatively titled Furnished by Farrah.
Farrah also opened a children's boutique called Sophia Laurent last fall -- well, actually it's her daughter's boutique. Eight-year-old Sophia apparently has the power to hire and fire employees, and she also helps pick items for the shop. So that's cool.
Axeman 2: Overkill
Farrah made her acting debut in a horror movie called Axeman 2: Overkill! She filmed her scenes a few years ago, but the release date was pushed back several times -- but it's finally available for purchase now!
The Return of the Cam Girl
Though Farrah has had her cam girl site for two years, she recently did a special live stream, hosted by a site called CamSoda, and it turned out to be a very big deal. Such a big deal that the site crashed when 70,000 actual humans logged on to see her pleasure herself. What has this world come to?
The End of an Era
Unfortunately, though she did get a lot of attention for those live streams, they eventually caused her to lose her job: Teen Mom producers told her she could keep doing the show or keep doing the cam girl stuff, and she chose to leave the reality show that made her famous.
Nowhere to Go But Up ...?
In the wake of her decision to leave the show, Farrah's said that she's interested in getting into scripted television, and she's also trying to turn her memoir into a feature film. Something tells us we haven't even began to see the last of her.
