35 Stars Who Have Suffered a Miscarriage

The following celebrities have all experienced one of life's most difficult obstacles.

They have each suffered through a miscarriage.

1. Gabrielle Union

The actress writes in her memoir that she has had "8 or 9" miscarriages. Our heart goes out to her.

2. Beyonce

Two days after daughter Blue Ivy was born in 2012, Beyonce released "Glory." A line in the track, rapped by husband Jay Z, went as follows: "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/ We was afraid you’d disappear/ But nah baby, you magic."

3. Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel
In February 2012, Frankel spoke to The Today Show about what she and then-husband Jason Hoppy went through: "We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks I miscarried. That was a very emotional experience and it had a lot of different things that came with it."

After time off, Lisa Ling returned to The View in 2010 and confessed she had suffered a miscarriage after seven weeks. She said it made her feel like a "complete failure."

Back in November 2010, Pink announced she was pregnant... but also revealed the reason she had been reluctant to open up about her pregnancy: "I was just really nervous," she said at the time. “I have had a miscarriage before.”

Carey suffered a miscarriage soon after marrying Nick Cannon in 2008. Cannon told Us Wweekly that Carey did daily acupuncture treatments “all over her body” and took progesterone in the aftermath.

"I get pregnant pretty easily, but I have a hard time keeping them,” the actress told People magazine in October 2003, after years of attempting IVF and suffering several miscarriages. She did finally give birth at the age of 40.

After marrying writer Chris Henchy in 2001, the couple starting trying to have a baby right away, something Shields knew would be difficult, due to a diagnosis with cervical dysplasia. They turned to IVF after six months, and suffered a miscarriage a few months later.

The star of 19 Kids and Counting miscarried her 20th child in December 2011 during her second trimester. She found out after 19 weeks of pregnancy.
