Love Is In The Internets
Casual Encounters Gets A Better Interface

Ok, you hopeless romantics. You may have heard that forlorn Web programmer Patrick Moberg was reunited with his subway crush. But what about the rest of us, who don’t have the Web 2.0 skills to reach out to our objects of affection?

Well, internet dating just got easy for the ugly and lazy.

Crazy Blind Date has just launched. You pick a time and neighborhood, and Crazy Blind Date sets you up with someone nearby. Daters can read a brief description about the other person, but the picture is blurred out. Good news acne victims and fatties.

The site will also set up double blind dates, and you know what that means: double date date rape!

Seriously, though, from their FAQ:

Q: I want sex on short notice.

A: Don’t we all…but that wasn’t a question. Please be explicit in your date request about what you hope for from a date, but a date is not a promise of anything.

So just lead with “I want sex on short notice” and the night should go swimmingly.

Act now. The newness of this site takes away from the stigma of online dating. Once the Sunday Styles piece comes out, it will all be over.
